Invest in future African-American leaders

Donate to these nonprofits in honor of Black History Month

À propos de cette Option de don

In honor of Black History Month, Microsoft News is featuring two nonprofit organizations doing great work to expand opportunities for African-American individuals and communities.

You can join us in showing your support by making a secure donation to this cause. Your contribution will benefit the following organizations:

Black Girls Code

Black Girls Code aims to inspire young African-American girls to imagine, build and create by exposing them to exciting opportunities in STEM. Participants age 7 to 17 from underrepresented communities are encouraged to become innovators through the use of computer science. The program aims to cultivate a lifelong love for technology and help bridge the digital gap by providing youth with skills to become the computer programmers of tomorrow. The ultimate goal is to train a workforce to help occupy the nearly 1.4 million computing job openings expected to be available in the US this year and to train 1 million girls by 2040.

The Accion US Network

This nonprofit community lender provides flexible small business loans to underserved communities, helping entrepreneurs generate income, build assets and achieve financial success through business ownership. They work hand-in-hand with entrepreneurs across the US to overcome every obstacle standing between them and their dream of owning a thriving business.

Thank you for contributing to a positive future.
