Following the devastating Fourth of July floods in Central Texas, veteran-led disaster response nonprofit Team Rubicon has launched a rapid deployment to support affected communities. Their volunteers—known as Greyshirts—are actively responding in Kerr and Tom Green counties.
In Kerrville, Greyshirts are staffing a Volunteer Reception Center, fielding calls, and entering critical data into the Texas Community Recovery platform to streamline coordination and accelerate relief. Reconnaissance teams are on the ground across affected counties, assessing damage and identifying urgent needs to guide response operations. To support these efforts, Team Rubicon has also established a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Kerr County, which will serve as the logistical hub for two anticipated full-scale operations.
Through these coordinated efforts, Team Rubicon is bringing structure to chaos—ensuring that impacted communities receive timely, organized, and compassionate support when they need it most.
