Help Support UNICEF’s Emergency Relief Efforts in the Bahamas

efter UNICEF USA

UNICEF is on the ground in the Bahamas, where an estimated 18,000 children and their families are struggling to recover from Hurricane Dorian. An initial evaluation of devastated communities in Acabo and Grand Bahama islands indicates that children are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. According to the United Nations Secretary General, "more than 75% of all buildings have been destroyed. Hospitals are either in ruins, or overwhelmed. Schools turned into rubble.” Considering the extensive damage and access constraints, safe water, food, health care, education activities, and psychosocial support for children and adolescents are the priority needs.

Before, during and after emergencies, UNICEF is there to provide the assistance and services children need to survive and thrive. Please give today to help UNICEF stay ever-ready to help children when they need it most.

On behalf of children in the Bahamas and around the world, thank you for your support!
