World Bicycle Relief builds and distributes specially-designed, locally assembled, rugged Buffalo Bicycles in rural areas of developing countries where lack of transportation is a barrier to education, health care and economic development.WBR has delivered more than 400,000 bikes to successfully address the great need for reliable, affordable transportation in rural areas of developing countries.

• Education: With bikes, travel times are reduced, giving students more time to learn. Providing bikes to students in rural developing regions helps lift them and their families out of poverty.
• Healthcare: Bicycles enable health workers to visit more patients' homes, more often. Increased quality of care leads to improved health for entire communities.
