12/23/25 Update: Two months after the ceasefire agreement, families in Gaza are still struggling to meet their most basic needs.
While there have been some improvements in the volume of supplies entering Gaza, food, clean water, and safe shelter remain scarce, and with winter setting in, the situation is becoming even more desperate. Without adequate warmth, clothing, or sanitation, the coming weeks could bring a surge in sickness and suffering for families who have already endured so much.
On December 21, 2,460 Mercy Corps food kits were distributed to 2,460 displaced families.
At the same time, Mercy Corps has additional critical supplies staged outside Gaza ready for immediate delivery once access is granted, including:
- 2,100 food kits,
- 14,000 hygiene kits, and
- 8,540 shelter kits
Your support will go where it is needed most, helping us mobilise our teams in response to humanitarian crises around the world. Mercy Corps teams are already on the ground where help is most needed. We work in more than 35 countries alongside communities as they prepare for, protect against, and recover from crisis.
