Starbucks "Always On" Double Match for Feeding America Disaster Response

When a disaster strikes, it strains resources and exacerbates food insecurity, leading many people who have not previously faced hunger to seek food assistance. For those already facing hunger, it becomes a crisis within a crisis.

The Feeding America network is there before disasters strike, in the immediate aftermath,
and throughout recovery, working alongside food banks and community partners to help
neighbors access food, water and essential supplies.

We support our neighbors getting back on their feet after a disaster. In total, 8 million pounds of emergency food have been distributed, while 16 food banks have been impacted by disasters. We collaborate with 66 national disaster response partners to amplify our ability to provide assistance.

The ability to deliver essential resources quickly — often within hours of impact—is a defining strength of the Feeding America network. In the days, weeks, and months following a crisis, we amplify our donation partnerships with food manufacturers and grocery retailers. We also expand programs such as mobile food pantries to support a coordinated disaster response.
