St. Vincent De Paul Society NSW

For over 160 years, the St Vincent de Paul Society fondly known as Vinnies has been assisting people experiencing poverty and disadvantage in the community. Through a strong network of 40,000 members and volunteers in 1,163 communities and with more than 200 professional services, Vinnies has programs to support people experiencing a range of challenging circumstances from homelessness and family violence to financial stress, mental illness and addiction.

A major part of Vinnies’ work is to support people who are at risk of or who are experiencing homelessness. Vinnies operates numerous homeless services across Australia including meals programs; crisis accommodation; family services; refuges for women and children escaping domestic violence; one to one case management support; access to medical, legal and financial advice; and education, training and activities.
