Around the clock, 365 days a year, the American Red Cross of Greater Chesapeake provides comfort, solace, and immediate basic needs items to our community residents during time of disasters larger and small. Your generous contribution will provide financial support, food, shelter, emergency supply kits and/or emotional support to families and individuals affected by floods, fires and other natural disasters. Examples of how you can help:
• A donation of $60 provides comfort supplies and cleanup kits to two families of 4.
• A donation of $100 covers the cost to support a family of 3 for one day after disaster with food, clothing, shelter and emotional support.
• A donation of $150 provides vital funds needed to support the travel, meals and shelter for 1 day for a volunteer Red Cross disaster relief worker.
