More than 1,000 earthquakes have hit Puerto Rico since Dec. 29, with two of the most severe leveling homes, businesses and churches. Initial estimates of damages are $3.1 billion, in an area that is still trying to recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria just over two years ago.
