Since the start of the outbreak in December 2019, the new coronavirus has spread to nearly all countries and territories. At the global, regional and country levels, UNICEF is working with partners to reduce transmission and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19. This includes ensuring the continuity of essential social services for children, women, and vulnerable populations in affected areas.
Please consider supporting UNICEF’s efforts, which include: the urgent prevention of new infections through public health education and outreach; the scale-up of alternative communications channels to support access to continuous education and child protection services; the support of health systems to help boost supplies of key equipment; and the tackling of misinformation that could have harmful effects on children.
To date, UNICEF has reached over 79.8 million children with distance/home-based learning, and has shipped more than 6.6 million gloves, 1.3 million surgical masks, 428,069 N95 respirators, 279,815 gowns, 13,128 goggles, and 63,800 face shields to 49 countries.
With your generous support, UNICEF will continue working to ensure children and families receive the supplies and information needed to reduce the impact of this crisis. On behalf of children across the globe, thank you!
